Preparing For Your HoneymoonPreparing for Your Honeymoon
By Sally Manglicmot

Preparing for your honeymoon is an exciting time, although you are probably overwhelmed with the last few weeks of planning your wedding.  You probably won’t remember everything for your trip, so it’s a good idea to have your check list with you or available at all times so you can add to it.

Your honeymoon check list will include all the usual items for a vacation.
Here are some items that sometimes are inadvertently left off the list:

  • special medications

  • passport and appointment for vaccine shots (if you’re leaving the country)

  • an extra itinerary with confirmation numbers

  • credit card info (leave it with a local friend that you can call if cards are stolen)

  • attire for the unexpected weather

  • cell phone adapters or batteries

  • portable steam iron

  • laptop (for surfing the Internet, but not for work)

  • city maps

Honeymoon tips: research the city/cities you will visit to check for special events that you can participate (marathon, street fair, festivals). If you don't like crowds, then this will help you plan your affairs away from the event. Here's a great tip: Take a small notebook or journal with you to record the sites you visit, the restaurants you dine, the wines you drink, and other memorable moments. You will find your notes helpful when creating your honeymoon scrapbook.
