Fashion tipsFlash! The LBD
is BIS...
By Nielsine Archibald

Yes, the LBD (little black dress) is BIS (back in style) for daytime, evening, dressy, or casual events.  In days gone by the LBD was the go-to dress for special occasions.  It was appropriate for dinner, theater, cocktail parties or any fancy affair.  Now, the LBD shows up at the beach, the super market, at work, in the evening, during the day or after completing a workout at the gym.  LBDs are now in season and are just as right for summer as they are for winter.

Fashion houses make LBDs in all kinds of fabrics from silk to cotton to polyester with spandex.  Styling includes sleeveless, short sleeves, long sleeves, high neck, low neck with or without cleavage in short, long or mid length.  Somewhere there is a perfect LBD for every event and body type.

LBDs can be accessorized with color, white, tans, gold, silver, or black in a different fabric than the dress.  For instance, a black matte jersey sleeveless dress worn withpatent leather shoes and bagwith lots of gold and gold jewelry would make a hit at any event.  Black at one time was taboo at weddings, now it is perfectly acceptable and a LBD fills the bill.

This is the year for the return of the dress.  Why not make your new dress an LBD for your next occasion?
