
Pinkie Paranya is a lady
of many talents, including the authorship of over 50 poems and 12 novels.
She enjoys painting in acrylics and oils,
is a Master Gardener, with many articles in Arizona Garden Magazine. She
was one of the founders of Planned Pethood of Yuma, a group who advocates
spaying and neutering of companion pets. She started a local writer's
group and judges in several writing contests.
Pinkie was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She attended Glendale
Union High, in Glendale, AZ and then Northern Arizona University in
Flagstaff. Later she traveled throughout the United States, Canada and
Mexico with her late husband, Andy, a professional photographer. She
spent five years in Alaska where she became interested in the Eskimo
(Inuit) traditions and people, which culminated in her two latest award
winning novels, part of a trilogy, WOMEN OF THE NORTHLAND. Pinkie does
book signings and speaks about her craft all over Arizona and parts of
Southern California. She currently lives near Yuma, Arizona.
