Take extra special care of yourself now. A bride and groom’s beauty comes from within. Really. If the bride and groom are happy and in control of their wedding details, they will naturally shine. If they’re exhausted, they will look exhausted. Now is the time to take extra care of yourself—we know how crazy that sounds—you already have a full schedule. No one wants to break out in hives or have a pimple blooming on the week of their wedding. If you are prone to acne, then use a special antibacterial agent—but don’t try it for the first time on the week of your wedding— you never know how your body will react. Focus on your body’s thirst for energetic food and beverages, exercise more and get more rest. Little changes help, like substituting soft drinks and caffeinated drinks with water. Eat less processed foods and sugar-added foods. Don’t forget the green stuff—plenty of it makes you feel energetic. Don’t make drastic changes without first consulting a specialist or your doctor. Here’s a quick list of don’ts: * Don’t try to get that great suntan on the week of your wedding, unless you chance looking like a lobster or with your sunburn halfway peeled off. * Don’t lose or gain too much weight that your wedding gown or tuxedo will look too loose or fit too tightly. * Don’t drink too much alcohol at the rehearsal dinner (if the wedding is the next day). * Don’t try a new incredible makeup a few days before your wedding or on the day of (you might have an allergic reaction). * Don’t skimp on sleep the night before your big day—your eyes don’t lie. * Don’t worry too much – that’s wasted energy – you will need all your energy for the big day.
