About Pinecrest, CA
Surrounded by the beautiful Stanislaus National Forest,
Pinecrest is located in Tuolumne County, off the Upper Highway 108
corridor between Strawberry, and Dodge Ridge Winter Sports Area, and
just half an hour form the historic community Sonora. Pinecrest is home
to Pinecrest Lake, offering a plenty of outdoor fun including swimming,
hiking, camping and fishing. Dodge Ridge Winter Sports Area offers
plenty of winter sports activities. There are plenty of camping and
lodging destinations to choose from to enjoy your stay.

Emigrant Wilderness Area:
This 113,000 acre
wilderness area is bordered by Yosemite National Park on the south, the
Toiyabe National Forest on the east, and State Highway 108 on the north.
There are approximately 185 miles of trails in the Emigrant Wilderness,
and travel is restricted to foot or horseback. Info:

Pinecrest Lake:
Located 30 miles east of Sonora on State
Highway 108, this lake provides a variety of outdoor adventures
including swimming, boating, camping, fishing, and hiking.

Sitting at an elevation of 1,405 feet, Jamestown is located just a few
miles south of Sonora, on the Highway 108/49 corridor, and is the first
town you encounter entering Tuolumne County from the west. It is less
than 30 miles from Oakdale, about 50 miles from Manteca, and around 100
miles from Sacramento.
