Overview
Nevada's Pioneer Territory, the largest territory, is mostly wild lands and ghost towns. It is a superior star gazing destination and has 50 historic sites within 100 miles, showcasing Nevada's mining history. It is great for biking and hiking, traveling through five state parks with beautiful landscapes and hidden canyons--there is a surprise around every bend.
  Attractions and activities include golf, water sports, Beatty Museum and Historical Society, Goldwell Open Air Museum, Belmont Ghost Town, Caliente Railroad Depot, Mineral County Historical Museum, USO Building, Lincoln County Historical Museum Million Dollar Courthouse, Rhyolite Ghost Town, Round Mountain Gold Mine Tours, Central Nevada Museum, Tonopah Historic Mining Park, Lyon County Museum, Ash Springs Recreation Area, Death Valley National Park, Rhyolite Historic Area, Beaver Dam State Park, Elgin Schoolhouse State Historic Site, Kershaw-Ryan State Park, Dayton State Park, Berlin-Ichthyosaur State Park, Marietta Wild Burro Range, Walker Lake State Recreation Area, Cathdral Borge State Park, Echo Canyon State Park, Mt. Wilson Back Country Byway, Spring Valley State Park, Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest,  Lunar Crater National Natural Landmark and Back Country Byway, Pahranagat Lakes Refuge, and Wilson Canyon Recreation area.
  Scenic Drives include the Tonopah Star Trails route and the Extraterrestrial Highway.
