Al Knight, licensed insurance agentConfused About Health
Insurance? Ask Al Knight..

by Nancy Reid

Health Insurance and care has been a controversial subject for years. Medical costs are frightening, especially for those (and there are many), that are unprotected. The consequences of being uninsured should illness or injury strike you or someone in your family, can be very drastic. For those who run their own businesses, it can mean the loss of your business.

To help us all out with our questions, I interviewed Al Knight, a licensed Insurance Agent and a
Field Service Representative for the National Association for the Self-Employed. I found there were a lot more options available for he self employed than I had imagined plus there are a lot of benefits to being a member of the National Association for the Self-Employed that will help save a business owner time and money.

In my interview with Al he touches on pre-existing medical conditions; insuring those who have a hard time finding insurance; managing your health insurance within your budget; and how to choose the right plan for your specific needs.

I found Al to be very easy to talk to and more importantly, he answered my questions in a way that I could understand. Al has agreed to answer questions from our readers in his new column "Ask Al Knight" every month.
