About Kennedy Meadows & Dardanelle
Kennedy Meadows and Dardanelle are both located up in the Tuolumne County High Country region, less than 70 miles northeast of Sonora off Highway 108. The area is surrounded by the Emigrant Wilderness Area and the Stanislaus National Forest. There are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy including hiking, horse riding, camping, fishing, photography, birding and wildlife watching, rafting, canoeing and more.

Emigrant Wilderness Area:
This 113,000 acre wilderness area is bordered by Yosemite National Park on the south, the Toiyabe National Forest on the east, and State Highway 108 on the north. Yosemite National Park: Covering nearly 1,200 square miles of vast wilderness, Yosemite National Park is one of the first wilderness parks in the United States, and is known for its waterfalls, deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, and much more. Enjoy hiking, birding and wildlife watching, photography, stargazing, ranger and interpretive programs, horseback riding, water activities, fishing, biking, winter sports and more.
