Escaping the corporate electronics
industry in San Francisco’s Bay Area, Ed & Dawn Glass relocated to
Julian where they made the decision to make a dream come true - they bought a
bed and breakfast. With the interests of entertaining, gardening, cooking and
home decor in their hearts, they make an excellent team - Ed’s the gardener
extraordinaire (and chef’s assistant), and Dawn is in charge of the cozy
country decor in the 5 rooms and also carries the title - Head Chef. From the
lactose intolerant to the vegetarian, Dawn’s breakfast menus are determined by
her guests dietary needs, a unique blessing for those with special health
concerns.
Breakfasts are served by candlelight next
to a warming fireplace in winter times, or outside in the garden gazebo during
warm weather. Their home, set on three acres of garden and trees is welcoming with majestic
oaks, dozens of beautiful rose bushes and even some bonsai. Butterfield's
