Apache & Sitgreaves National Forests:
The forests encompass two million acres
located along the Mogollon Rim and in
the White Mountains of east-central
Arizona. On the Sitgreaves, the major
attractions include 8 cold water lakes,
and the 7,600 foot Mogollon Rim which
extends 200 miles from Flagstaff into
Western New Mexico. The Apache National
Forest ranges in elevation from 3,500
feet to nearly 11,500 feet and is named
for the tribes that settled in this
area. Visitors enjoy camping, biking,
hiking, wildlife viewing and more. For
