HOLIDAY BEVERAGES & DRINK RECIPES
Nogs:      Coffee Eggnog       "Get Happy" Eggnog     
Non-Alcoholic Egg Nog
Hot Drinks:      Easy Mulled Cider         Hot Cranberry Juice
Champagne:      'Cold Duck'          Mimosa
Cocktails:     Southwest Sunrise            Kick-Butt Bloody Mary

 

EGGNOG:
Coffee Eggnog

Ingredients:
2 eggs, well beaten
2 tsp. instant coffee
4 tsp. sugar
2 cups chilled milk
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
Method:
Whip ingredients together in a blender until mixture develops a light froth on top.
Serves 2.

‘Get Happy’ Eggnog
A recipe that promises to liven up any Holiday office party!
Ingredients:
1 fresh egg
2 shot glasses brandy
1 shot glass Baileys
1 tsp. sugar/corn syrup
Milk
Method:
Blend all ingredients until light and frothy, serve chilled. Serves one mug full.
 
Non-alcoholic Eggnog
Ingredients:
4 cups of milk
4 eggs
4 tbsp. honey
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup of crushed ice
Nutmeg (preferably freshly grated)
Method:
Combine all ingredients except nutmeg, in a shaker. Shake well. Serve with nutmeg sprinkled on top.



HOT DRINKS:

Easy Mulled Cider
Ingredients:
Apple cider
Cloves
Cinnamon Sticks
Method:

Heat cider and and cloves - but do not boil. Serve with a cinnamon stick.

Hot Cranberry Juice
Ingredients:
Cranberry Juice
1 thinly sliced lemon
Cloves
Cinnamon Sticks
Honey
Nutmeg
Method:

Heat, but do not boil, all ingredients except for honey and cinnamon sticks. Serve with a cinnamon stick and honey to taste.
 

CHAMPAGNE:
'Cold Duck'
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp. Cranberry Juice
1 Quart. Club Soda
Two 6 oz. cans frozen white grape juice concentrate
Method:
Thaw out the grape juice concentrate. Stir together - club soda, and concentrate. Add cranberry juice for color. Store in air tight bottles (soda bottles work well), and serve chilled in champagne glasses.

Mimosa
Ingredients:
Dry Champagne
Orange Juice
Method:
In a Champagne flute, pour about 1/4 full with orange juice.
Fill the rest with chilled Champagne. You can garnish with an orange or pineapple wheel, umbrella or cherries.


COCKTAILS:

Southwest Sunrise
Ingredients:
1 quart orange juice
1 10 oz. package of frozen strawberries
4 Shots Tequila or Vodka
Method:
Combine the juice and strawberries in a blender, and blend until smooth. Blend in tequila or vodka, and serve over crushed ice.

Kick-Butt Bloody Mary
Ingredients:
1 Quart tomato or V8 juice
2 tsp. horse radish
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 small lemon, thinly sliced
4 shots vodka
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
Tobasco Sauce to taste
4 shots vodka
Celery
Method:
Stir all ingredients - except the celery - in a pitcher. Serve over ice, with a celery stick stirrer.
