shoes, fashionsShoes Galore!
By Leanne Sabo

Never before has there been such an array of unique and imaginative winter footwear sharing the fashion spotlight. With so many appealing, new styles of shoes and boots – and also a few repeat styles out there – you’ll probably have a difficult decision-making process on your hands. To make things a bit less intimidating, we decided to skip over the outfit and focus this month’s fashion tip downward – right at the shoes to be exact. Let’s get into it, shall we?

Booties and shoe boots have burst out as early favorites. Gaining in popularity, it’s hard to open a fashion magazine without seeing them paired with everything from skirts to skinny pants. Toeless oxfords are hot and imaginative – and show off the season’s newest textured tights (yes – you can wear toeless oxfords in the snowy Winter – just carry them with you and change into them when you reach your destination). “Hidden” platforms (where the outer fabric covers to the sole) are sexy and interesting enough to carry off being the focal point of an outfit (You’ll see them in everything from bright hues to stunning metallic's). A couple of the classic favorites – ballet flats in all shapes and colors – yes!! Our aching feet THANK YOU! And MaryJanes – with varying heel heights that still look great with so many of the new Fall and Winter fashions (and again, those textured tights)!

You may need to take an inventory of all of your fun new Weekenders outfits, and see which of these trendy styles complete the look for you.
