Looking Cool Even when it’s Hot!

What you wear during the hot days of summer can have a huge impact on how you are perceived at your place of business. By simply making a few adjustments to your wardrobe, hair, and makeup, you can accommodate the higher temperatures and maintain your cool.

Here are some Dos and Don’ts:

Do:

* Dress in layers. Weekenders garments are perfect for this. Choose a Cascade or Peasant Top and pair it with a jacket, vest or shawl. * Pick a light, summertime fragrance. Let your business savvy grab their attention rather than an overpowering fragrance.

Don’t:

* Wear a sleeveless top to the office (even if you have toned upper arms) without a jacket. Cap or short sleeves are much more appropriate in an office environment.

* Omit the hosiery or opt for too casual footwear. Remember, the more skin you show the more casual you appear.

* Get too wild and crazy with summer colors and fashion styles. Save that trendsetting look, i.e. shorts or miniskirts for after hours.
