Weekend Wildflower & Art Show – Idyllwild, CA: Join the
Idyllwild Nature Center, as they celebrate 30 years of their
Wildflower extravaganza! This event runs from May 23-26 and features
a meet and greet with the filmmakers of “Season of the Sand
Blossoms,” Peter and Melanie Rhalter; native flower display; and
Native Plant and Book sale; art exhibits; guest speakers;
naturalist-led walks; kids activities, live music and more.

Fiestas,
Art Exhibits & Cuisine Examine the Relationship between Plants &
People – Tucson:
Tohono Chul Park
will hold three events beginning in April that focus on ethnobotany.
Recently selected as one of the ten great botanical gardens in the
world, the Park will examine the relationship between plants and
people with the art exhibit ‘Ethnobotany: the Nature & Culture of
Plants’ followed by a sampler of food from Sonoran Desert plants,
and a Cinco de Mayo fiesta, tequila tasting and fundraiser.

Desert
Cultures & Music at Tohono Chul Park – Tucson, AZ: Seats
are now available for the 2008 Tohono Chul Park Spring Concert
Series. The series features desert music ranging from the Native
Flute to Yaqui dancing to the Didgeridoo.
