KANAB ON-GOING EVENTS 2008
Gardener’s Market: Held every Saturday from the last week in May to mid-October, from 9am – 11:30am, on the lawn of the Kane County Office of Tourism in Kanab, UT. Tel: (435) 644-5543
Moab Information Center 2008 Lecture Series: Free series of lectures relating to southeastern Utah. Most Thursday evenings at the Moab Information Center, at 7 pm. Tel: (435) 259-6003:
Walks & Talks: Held monthly at the Kanab Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument Visitor Center. Dates and times vary. Tel: (435) 644-4680

Aug. 1-2: Beauty and the Beast:

Aug. 15: Red Rock Roadrunners ‘Show & Shine’ Night: Informal cruise and car show in downtown Kanab. Info: Keith Miller (435) 691-1345.
Aug. 21-23: Western Legends Round-up: A celebration of the culture of the Old West. Wagon Train, Workshops, Film Festival, Quilt Show, Cowboy Poetry, Tent Revival, Indian Dancing and Weaving, Quick Draw Contest, Working Displays, Fiddle Contest, and a Dutch Oven Cook-off. Street Fair with art and food vendors and live cowboy music. Saturday High noon parade. Info: (435) 644-3444
Aug. 30-31: Rutan Fly-In: 20 to 30 experimental aircraft participate in flight evaluations, demonstrations and fly-bys. Held at the Kanab Airport. Info: Bill Erickson (435) 644-2625
